Metallica – Ride the Lightning(Red Version)
Artist: Metallica
Album:Ride The Lightning
Release Date: 1989
Catalog number: Vertigo 838 140-3
This was the second release for Metallica. Like the green and blue version of “Ride the Lightning”, the red version contains the same songs. This record gives a catalog number similar to Vertigo Records. But between the substandard graphics, milky appearance, and the lack of typical information found on Metallica releases, the authorization for this disc is highly questionable.
Pink Floyd – Wish You were Here
Kansas – Point of Know Return
Artist: Kansas
Album: Point of Know Return
Release Date: 1977
Catalog number:CBS JZ 34929
With the hits “Dust in the Wind” and “Point of Know Return”, this album helped launch Kansas into Rock stardom.
Between the dazzling graphics, unusual rarity, and the “Promotional Only” nature of this disc, the demand and price for “Point of Know Return” is “high” to say the least.
Curved Air – Air Conditioning
Artist: Curved Air
Album: Air Conditioning

Made in the United Kingdom, this disc was first introduced in 1970 and is said to be one of the first Rock LP to appear in the picture disc format (Off 2-Hallucinations arrived 1969). The 1970 version, had a catalog number of Warner Bros.(WSX 3012) and a production estimated to be near 20,000 copies.

As the story goes, the French record label “Bernett” was given the task of pressing a “Promotional” version of “Ride the Lightning” for distribution.
This disc contains the inscription “Promotional Copy – Not For Sale” on the bottom of the second side.
This green version is the most sought after of the two colors.
